Theology on Tap is a Summer and Fall speaker series for young adults 18-40, single and married. A casual forum where friends of all denominations and walks of life gather in local bars and restaurants for "straight talk, hard facts, and real answers" on our faith and how it applies to daily life. Come once or enjoy the entire series!

Matthew Ludwikowski -Drink Coffee. Do Good.

Come hear how Land Of A Thousand Hills Coffee based in Roswell is investing in the lives and communities torn apart by genocide in Rwanda. We will discuss the story of Redemption through coffee, and how as Christians we should be the first to engage by being intentional about our morning cup. Drink Coffee. Do Good.

Matthew Ludwikowski has been working in the specialty coffee industry for over 5 years. He is a self-professed coffee enthusiast and researcher.  Currently working for Land Of A Thousand Hills his efforts are in ensuring coffee excellence through building community in Rwanda as well as here in the states, enabling justice for the coffee farmer.  His passion for coffee and to “Do Good” through it stems directly from his desire to serve others.  Matt is always excited to share his story and heart for how coffee is playing a role in reconciliation for the Rwanda people.  Matt is also an avid beer enthusiast and home brewer.

Deacon Dennis Dorner "Speak the Faith"

Deacon Dennis Dorner is the Chancellor of the Archdiocese of Atlanta and he serves as the Director of the Office of the Permanent Diaconate.

Married for 38 years, he is the father of four and grandfather of three.  He graduated from Ohio Dominican University, Columbus, OH in 1974 with a BA in Business Administration.  Ordained in 2004 as a Permanent Deacon,  Deacon Dorner is assigned to St. Brigid Catholic Church in Johns Creek, GA and St. Luke Catholic Church in Dahlonega, GA.

Michael Okuto “A legend, A liar, A lunatic or Lord: The Case For Christ In a Pluralistic Society”

Michael Okuto is the Adult Faith Formation director at St. Thomas the Apostle catholic church. Before coming to St. Thomas, he was a seminarian and had worked as a chaplain for different institutions including MD Anderson cancer center and the Port of Houston. He is an alumnus of University of St. Thomas in Houston Texas and holds a bachelor’s degree in philosophy and a master’s degree in Theology.

Fr. Jimmy Adams - "Living the Paschal Mystery as Young Adults in the 21st Century."

Father Jimmy Adams is currently the chaplain at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic High School in Fayetteville, GA, and is strongly committed to helping people grow in their faith through various retreat experiences. Fr. Jimmy has served as spiritual director for Cursillo, a renewal movement primarily for adults, and is currently the spiritual director for SEARCH (teens) and TEC (To Encounter Christ - young adults). He was also one of the founders, in 1999, of the non-profit organization Amigos for Christ, which continues to bear much fruit in missionary aid to the poorest of the poor in Nicaragua. He will celebrate his 28th anniversary of his ordination to the priesthood in June.

Fr. Brian Higgins - “What NOT to Fear”

Fr. Brian Higgins currently serves as parochial vicar at All Saints in Dunwoody.  Known for his lively passionate preaching, and humor, Fr. Higgins continually inspires, and is a ‘favorite’ of the Atlanta YAM community! Prior to his current role, Fr. Higgins was chaplain to Southern Catholic College, and also served as Vocations Director for the Archdiocese of Atlanta.  One of nine children, and a native of Kansas City, Mo., who was raised in Dunwoody, Father Higgins earned a bachelor's degree in English and secondary education in 1989 from Benedictine College in Atchison, Kan. He earned his master of divinity degree from Mount St. Mary's Seminary in Emmitsburg, Md., in 1999.
